Mixtapes
Every couple of weeks I I used to put together a radio show for CFUR called Almost Mainstream, which is a mix of my favourite new songs at the moment. But every once in a while I like to put together a mixtape, too. Here’s a post I wrote about it. And here are the mixes I’ve made.
Almost Mainstream Episode 0: The Original Pilot Mixtape
Created in spring/summer 2010 as a pilot episode of Almost Mainstream for CFUR Radio. The idea was to make a mix that would represent the sort of stuff I would play if I had a radio show. Now I have a radio show, and this is the sort of stuff I play.

Almost Mainstream: The End of the World Mixtape
Episode 45 of Almost Mainstream fell on December 21, 2012, which a bunch of people decided they would turn into the end of the world, or at least a reason to have end of the world parties.
For those, here’s an all-music, DJ-free version of the show that doesn’t contain the obvious choices of Prince, R.E.M. or even David Bowie. Instead, enjoy the best end-of-world celebrations from the likes of Crystal Castles, Japandroids, Metric, Death From Above 1979 and more- perfect for your post-Apocalyptic parties.
